ACTIVITIES AT POLO MATCHES

CHARLIE CHUKKER
At half-time, children and adults sit on Charlie Chukker, a metal horse, and take a swing at a ball with a mallet. This gives everyone an idea about the challenges of polo - imagine how hard it is when the horse is galloping down the field!

DIVOT STOMPING
We encourage everyone to go out and stomp divots in the field at halftime. (Divots are pieces of turf dug up by the horses' hooves.) Divot stomping is a great way to meet the other polo fans and their pooches.

TAILGATE COMPETITIONS and HAT DAY
We award prizes at our two tailgate competitions, held on opening and closing days, and at Hat Day, which is July12. Everyone is invited to join in the fun.   Anything goes as long as it's family-friendly.   Just release your inner ham - join in with costumes, props, decorations, etc.

RAFFLES
We hold a raffle at every polo game with special prizes like polo shirts and books about horses. At the gate, every driver is given a raffle ticket (at no charge) and the winning number is called at the end of the match.

At polo, dogs make new friends with other pooches and polo fans.
